The wide variety of garden statues available emans that there is something for just about every taste. From Asian statues, to Grecian and Roman classics; from little frogs to giant pelicans, you are sure to find something for which you can find a suitable home in one part of your garden.

 

Asian classics are far from forgotten in the modern range of garden statues. The Asian statue shown left is of the female Bodhisattva Kwan Yin (also know as Quan Shi Yin and Kuan Yin). Kwan means to enquire, or examine deeply, while Shi means the world of people, or generations, and Yin means cries.

Kwan Yin is a historic Goddess of Buddhism , so makes a superb companion to the ever popular Buddha statues. This example is more than 4 feet tall, is made of fiberstone, and comes in a range of finishes, thus giving you the chance to let it blend in with your garden and other adjacent garden decor.

Because of its size, this Kwan Yin statue may not be suitable for you, although if you have a small but walled and sheltered garden, this goddess may still find a home in the corner.

You can find other Buddhist and Asian statues that will not look out of place in a modern American or European garden, given the right setting.

The second picture (left) is another young lady, this time a Como girl with a doll. This antique looking garden statue is about three foot tall, so not so demanding of space. Sporting a classic hair style, she still adds a mythological air to the garden decor.

Her size and pose makes it easier to find a home somewhere in the garden for this less well know type of statue.

Below, we include another angel, this time an angel with a Holy Water Font, a true classic amongst statues.

This particular angel stands some 4 feet tall and again comes in fiberstone, with a choice of finishes. Like Kwan Yin she may find a home in the corner of a small garden or against a wall, but in a lot of garden you will have a lot of choice, especially if your garden has some cosy and relaxing alcoves where you like to relax and meditate.
