Hummingbird Houses
For bird lovers, it is difficult to imagine anything more wonderful than having hummingbirds around the garden on a regular basis. With hummingbird houses and feeders, there is every chance that, so long as you live in their range, you will be able to have just that.
Hummingbirds are fascinating to watch when they feed, but equally interesting to watch build their nests and then feed the young. To encourage them, you can install a special hummingbird house.
As you can see in the above picture, hummingbird houses do not take on the traditional appearance you might imagine for a bird house. In fact, they do not look like houses at all. They are designed just to give the humming bird a base to weave their magical nests around. Fixed under the eaves of your own house, the hummingbird house is just like some metal twigs sticking out from your roof. The bird house may not look pretty, but the birds more than make up for that.
The hummingbird house pictured has been proved to attract Black-chinned, Ruby-Throated, Anna's, Magnificent and Blue-Throated hummingbirds, but it may be possible to attract other species too. That remains to be seen. However, if you love hummingbirds, you will surely think it is worth a try by installing your own hummingbird accommodation.
