With some of the smaller home decor items, such as place mats, towels, wall tapestries and coasters, it is affordable to have more than one set of each. That way, your guests need not see all the same items each time they visit, and you can have a regular change also.

This idea of alternating decor is especially appropriate with floral decor. After all, plants, flowers, shrubs and trees depend on the seasons. So, if you live in an area with a distinct spring, summer, fall and winter, you will be used to seeing different flowers in each of those seasons, with possibly none at all in the winter.

There is no need, of course, to wait until a new season before changing your hand towels, but it would be good to see new flowers on display each time one set needs washing.

With the hand towels pictured left, however, the aim is to have a fresh hand towel each day of the week. As you can see, each hand towel (in the Festival of Flowers Range) has a different flower, and is marked with a different day of the week. If you do the laundry only once a week, then maybe two sets will be needed, or you could choose a different floral set altogether for when the "day" set is being washed.

The mini plates, from the same range, can serve a double purpose. Apart from being used as floral plates, and be used for serving or displaying food, these mini plates, with their attractive paintings of individual flowers, can also just be used as display items in your overall display of floral decor. Place on a rack, such as the one pictured, they make a pretty display for those who like flowers around their room.
