Floral Home Decor Based on an English Country Garden

An English country garden is a phrase that seems to evoke pictures, even in the minds of those who have never been to England. Coming from England, it is that much easier for me to imagine the perfect English country garden, though I never quite managed to create one as I had hoped, before I left to live in a warmer climate.
There is little doubt that the English have created some fine gardens over the centuries, and have become specialists in growing and breeding plants, and designing gardens, with great enthusiasm. Most of the ordinary population make some effort to keep a nice garden, as the chorus of lawn mowers every weekend in the summer attests.
An English country garden, though, has an image of its own; it has a semi wild look, even when planned out and carefully planted. It is expected to be found outside an old stone cottage, full of vintage charm, perhaps in a picturesque village, such as some of those found in The Cotswolds.

An English country garden, therefore, does make an attractive and evocative theme for floral decor. The three small pictures shown are all from an English country garden range of soft furnishings and wall decor.
The first picture has an appropriately rural look, an attractive floral pillow, laid out on the soil in the picture to look like a sack of Cotswold compost. It would look nicer on a sofa or chair, or even a garden chair for a lazy sunny afternoon.
The second picture, from the English country garden range, is a table runner, a fine item of floral decor for inside the home, while the final picture takes the English country garden theme to a tapestry throw.
