Fiberstone Columns For Garden Decor
The introduction of fiberstone aggregates has changed the face of garden statues, ornaments and other garden decor, where once stone dominated, followed by concrete. You can even now buy fiberstone columns to use in your garden, bringing modern technology and classic column design together in a convenient mix.
Greek architecture has a strong association with columns, and many classic styles are Greek in origin. Our first picture (left) is a plain Grecian column, made from fiberstone. The advantages of fiberstone is that it is less easily damaged than stone, and is also much lighter, making it that much easier to arrange your garden decor, such as statues, ornaments and pedestals. This 42 inch high fiberstone column will also make a good pedestal, with a carefully chosen planter and trailing plants on top.

The second column featured is from the Corinthian order of Greek and Roman architecture. This fiberstone Corinthian column has a very classic style, and stands 8ft high. This is clearly a column that needs to be included in a garden terrace or patio design with care, and a single column is unlikely to be of much use in adding to the overall effect of a garden design. If you have a large garden, though, a pair could stand handsomely either side of an entrance to a secluded terrace.

The final picture goes to the other garden column extreme. This squat little column stands at a mere 8 inches high. It is as much of a pedestal, or even pedestal base, as it is a column. However, it is described as a fiberstone column, Epic Shaft, and comes in a range of attractive colours.
