Cherub Garden Statues
Also: Garden Statues
The image of the cherub is one that goes back to biblical times, to the Old Testament in fact. These angelic creatures, a mix of animal, human and angels, have always been popular statues going back for many centuries. Cherubs, or more correctly cherabim, are an ancient garden statue or ornament subject, and their vintage appeal cpointues today.
The images of a cherub are far from uniform, and many forms have appeared in statues across the centuries. They are normally associated with child angels, and are easy to adore. They have a long garden tradition in a way, having been mentioned in the Book of Genesis as guarding the Tree of Life to the east of the Garden of Eden.
